Less than 24 hours to go!!!

Here we go... it's that time again when the nerves begin to kick in!!! It's been a busy week here in Malta with the final preparations, training and attending interviews for this weekends upcoming world record event at Starfish Diving School, Marina Hotel at the Corinthia Beach Resort.

The World Record Diving Malta team has been invited to several local television shows as well as radio stations in order to discuss all that goes on behind the scenes for our events, what the roles of each team member entail and what the scope behind our activities truly is. We would like to say a special thanks to NET TV's Sport Extra and The Breakfast Show for having us on their show, as well as to XFM's Steve Hili on the Le Meridien Big Breakfast Show!

 

The team is now practically living on site at The Corinthia St.George Hotel who have kindly supplied us with accommodation, meals, etc for the entire duration of the event!! The past two days have been spent setting up the site and testing all the awesome kit that has been sent to us from Apeks, Aqualung and Whites Diving courtesy of local distributor M&A Diving Supplies. Once again, a huge huge thanks goes out to all these companies for their help and support throughout the past few weeks.

Although it has been an immensely intense couple of weeks, the team has had a blast and there were quite a lot of giggles involved especially during the shooting of the promo video. The biggest thanks from my part goes out to the team of safety divers and land support for their constant support and co-operation during the entire year buidling up to the event.
